The Great Dane breed is also well known as the gentle giant this is because of their gentle, sweet and affectionate temperament. This is the largest of all the breeds and can weight 100-130lbs and be 30-34 inches in height. They have a short, close-fitting coat that comes in a variety of colors including fawn, brindle, black, blue, mantle, harlequin and sometimes merle. They have long and pointed cropped ears and a strong face and mouth. This dog is excellent with children when trained properly because of its size and they are a great watchdog and loyal. The Great Dane breed need to have good training as a puppy so they are more manageable when they grow up and into their size.
